On May 25th, 2018, the EU’s new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into force. This will have consequences for all organizations that handle personal data, and significant fines will be leveled against organizations that do not take the reform seriously. Since the new reform does not make any distinction between structured or unstructured information, it requires that all personal information be handled in the same way regardless of form, media or context.
